I don't know if they've improved the quality or what, but the past two yukatas I've bought were very stiff and not very breathable. I assumed that's how it was but THIS ONE is so loose and light and overall nice material. I love it so much. ありがとうございますた！

It is a BEAUTIFUL yukata. Lightweight, breathable, very lovely color and pattern. Definitely make sure you practice putting one in or you'll feel stuffy!! However- for plus sizes I do hope that they make a slightly larger pattern. A key problem I'm having is that my hips are too wide and when I sit, my yukata shows my legs!! I'm not sure how to remedy this now. But I'll figure it out.

Perfect for performances and Japanese related events if you cannot find place that sells the complete set of Yukata in your area! Shipping is fast and probably the most affordable site you can find out there with decent prints not too bold or too colorful, with more subtle color choice and good quality and more authentic sewing lines on the Yukata. I've bought the wrong yukata online before, or even ryokan yukata that doesn't come with the obi because mislabeling online and generic public doesn't know the differences. I also like how the images on the site already picked the obi colors for you so you can just by what you see without thinking too much how to match your wardrobe. Aloha from Hawaii!
I needed a Yukata for Koto performance, but local Mitsuwa and Donki didn't sell the formal ones, and only had the men's version. Even though Hawaii is super Japanese cultural influenced, I was so worried I wouldn't be able to perform... I went home a month before the day of performance, went online and look for websites and all the local clothing place that might offer any second hand Yukata... to no avail. It had to be shipped in time for my performance on 1/11/2026 for the matsuri (festival) at Japanese Cultural Center. I ordered it on 12/25/2-025. I was very worried since it was holiday season too... It's kind of lucky I think, I got the delivery the day before my performance, and I watched Youtube to learn to tie the yukata and obi, practiced it 3 times, and the next day I was able to wear it with ease, looking very professional I would say. The color mauve purple worked well with my skin tone, I was worried it be too dark for the spring theme, but it turned out very elegant and a bit contemporary. Overall I'm just glad I got it in time and free shipping to Hawaii! It's a lifesaver!!! <3 Happy Year of the Horse!
What a beautiful yukata and it's 100% cotton that makes it WAY so much better! It's so comfortable for a big girl like me who is a US size 16 and I love the glitter flowers on it which makes it a lot more speical! It's actually very comfortable even in the winter when I'm chilling indoors in style! I so recommend and please make more yukata in 100% cotton! 🥰

All of the details and proportions seem right with this one - The fit is excellent. I am absolutely in love. The morning glory pattern is so elegant and the fabric is light, comfortable, and breathable. I will definitely be coming back to Modern Sakura to expand my collection.

I was very excited for this kimono to come, and I was even happier when I put it on. The material is very comfortable and it keeps me warm in the winter. My only complaint is that if you are a curvier girl like me, it will be a very tight fit. Be prepared to suck in your tummy.

Beautiful and great fabric quality. I received many compliments. Shipping speed could be improved, I chose premium shipping expecting it to arrive in 2-3 days but it took about a week and I almost missed it for my event.
I. love these Tabi! It looks so sweet, and it is comfortable. The top part has two layers, so you cannot see through toes, and it is durable. Unlike traditional Tabi, it stretches so that you can wear them like socks. The bottom part is like traditional Tabi so that it doesn't slip on Zouri/Geta sandals. I want more in differemt colors, such as baby blue and black.

I like one Obi can be used in two ways. (My pictures look darker than the actual colors. They are more light colors.)
What I received was purple with blue, not light pink with blue. But it matches my Yukata, so it is not a problem for me.
